![]() Now you need to do the same thing you did when calibrating with controllers… except with your face. Make sure ‘very slow’ is picked, then ‘start calibration’ With the other controller, open space calibrator, and on the left you pick the HMD itself, and the right the controller pressed against your HMD Put one controller against the front of the HMD, being sure not to cover any tracking cameras The Index controllers will likely be in a weird position, but by contorting you should be able to get to the space cal menu and be able to click things and such ![]() Start steamVR (since you’ve already calibrated once, you should be able to do this by turning on the Index controllers) Pick up the Index controllers and put on the HMD Take out the batteries for the touch controllers and set them aside. Virtual desktop also has an option to have the touch controllers emulate a regular pc game pad, so you enable that before starting steamVR and avoid having to take the batteries out of the controllers every time) It’s a quest app feature so can’t be enabled when in link. To avoid having to do this, use virtual desktop or alvr wirelessly, which of course means getting a nice wireless router (those have an option called ‘staged tracking’ which keeps the playspace centered. But you basically have to recalibrate every time you want to play… which means you’ll need to use your HMD to calibrate instead of the controllers. Iirc so long as you’re standing/facing the exact same spot when you reset, your calibration should still be good. With link (both wired and wireless), the playspace resets every time you take off the HMD, restart steamVR or leave the playspace.
